Foolish. Here's how that goes:

You hate your job. You want to vent about it. So you tell your hot girlfriend how much you hate your job. She pretends to be supportive at first, and it makes you feel better. Since she seems willing to listen, you keep venting. She quickly tires of listening to you talking about YOU, however, because the unwritten law of hot girlfriends is that you're supposed to listen to her inane talk about HER and all HER hopes, dreams and laments.

If she's as passive-aggressive as most women, however, she won't confront you directly with the fact that she doesn't always want to hear you complaining about work. Instead she'll withhold sex as punishment, and you're supposed to figure out what you've done wrong yourself. You won't figure it out, and her hatred of you will grow steadily until she starts cheating on you with someone else. And don't think she'll just dump you. She'll cheat on you first, because a woman never gives up one guy until she has the next already lined up and already succumbing to her control.

So you go from being in a miserable job with a hot girlfriend to being miserable with the hot girlfriend because she won't let you touch her to being miserable because she's cheating on you to being miserable because she left you. And you're still working at a sh*thole.

This is why you should do what's right for you and not worry about whether it poses a problem for your hot girlfriend.

What I find is that I seem to run across a lot of women who just don't "get" what we do everyday. I've dated some nice ladies over the years, but I'd argue 99% of them aren't capable of understanding the everyday stresses and frustrations I have to deal with everyday.

Then again, I have dated some industry women and all we end up talking about is...the industry...

I had this problem until I said to my girlfriend,"I hate it here and I'm looking for a job any where I can get one." She asked,"What about us?"

I found a job in another market and have been married to that girlfriend for almost ten years. I suppose she answered her own question. Be very careful when they ask "what about us?" because if you don't give an answer, they will give you one.

Dude... come to Charleston, SC where there are more hot girls, per capita, than just about anywhere in the country. Don't stay in a job that makes you misrable just because you are insecure about finding another hot girlfriend, or are attached to this one girl. It's a stange phenomenon how many beautiful females Charleston attracts. I've been all over the country, including other beach cities, and haven't seen nearly such a good ratio.
