The cat gave her every chance in the world to drop him, but she just had to keep holding him. The show must go on.

OWNED!!!!!!!

Seriously though - why would anyone continue to hold a cat making noises like that? It's like holding onto a friggin' hand grenade! She's lucky she still has her eyes.....

"This little guy is havin' fun."

What?!?

Maybe the reporter makes sounds like that when she's having fun, but that was obviously not the case for the cat. That comment made her sound so stupid that it was hard not to cheer for the cat.

In her defense she admits to not being a cat person. That's obvious. Watch the video here where she talks about it:

I think she makes herself look even more stupid by talking about it for three minutes on the set. It's now a news story that she got scratched by a cat? She even blogged about it also. The actual story about the animal abusers is lost in all this talking about herself. Because, let's face it, it's the REPORTER that's important, not the story.

And they wonder why people are turning off television news. I want to see her do a story about mountain lions. Or maybe rats.

Yep.

"Here's what "I" thought about the story..."

"Now, you can tell "ME" what you think about how "I" told the story"...

I’m with the cat on this one. :)

We were on a shoot with a dog and kids in it. All day the dog (who was part of the opening NY montage of King Kong) performed like a professional and the kids just performed. Finally the dog had had enough with working with armatures that kept harassing him and snapped at the kids. No contact just a back off thing. Everyone went “Ohhhh”
The animal wrangler said “Why is it when a dog does anything it’s a vicious killer but if a cat rips your face off it was your own fault?”

On her blog at the bottom it has a link that says...

"Chat about Kathleen's experience below. To start the chat, just type in your message and hit enter."

How about we don't 'chat about Kathleen's experience' and just say stupid is as stupid does.

You should post "Stupid is as stupid does" in her chat line.

That was a dumb ass live shot anyway. "A cat like this one..." just in case someone doesn't know what a cat looks like. The thing is, most news directors would think that a damn creative live shot.

When a cat does this...don’t touch it! But nooooooo why don’t you pick it up and say "this cat is having fun!"

Its sad that some guy in graphics had to make up a stupid "cat encounter" OTS. The anchor said it right...this will be on a lot of save tapes.

I showed my wife and she said…”it must be a fox station”

They must have taken the story off their website.

That's sad. For a cat to act like that, somoen has had to abuse that poor thing. Similar to what is done to a junkyard dog for them to act mean.

Perhaps Kathleen's next story should be from the same animal shelter as she "works off" her animal cruelty charge... she's a dweeb!

And I agree. I would be pissed if I left my cat at that vet.

If you left your cat at that vet, it would be because you didn't want it. Because that was an animal shelter, not a vet's office.
