No where else on the internet can this problem be solved except by the people on b-roll.net ,so here I go :
(a) I have a creative zens mp3 player loaded with music.
(b) I just got an ipod and I would like to transfer all the music from the Creative zens into the ipod.
No one not even APPLE or CREATIVE ZENS seem to know how to do this , so I have no other one to turn to except the most intelligent folks on the internet . . .. the folks on B-ROLL.NET ! ! !

Connect the USB cable to the Creative, move the MP3 files from the Creative to the computer. Then connect the iPod and go through the iTunes process. That said, I'm not sure if Creative have copy protection security like iPods do....

I'm afraid I don't know anything about the zens player, but if it works like other non-ipod players, you rip it to files on your computer first, then transfer it to your player. Those files should still exist on your computer. As long as they are standard MP3 files, iTunes will be able to take them in with the "import" function. You may have to rename some files and add artwork in some cases, but it's generally very simple.
Now, if those files only exist on your player (and I don't know why that would be) all I can suggest is trying to open the zens with the "my computer" selection in your start menu and copy the files to your computer as you would any other storage device. If the zens has software that must be used to access the device, then you may be limited to what that software will allow you to do, or you can do a little internet searching to find special software that folks likely have made available to achieve what you are trying to do.
In any case, I suggest before you tranfer your music to iTunes you store it somewhere seperately OUTSIDE of iTunes (preferably on an external hard drive) and use import to bring it in. This will not use more storage space because iTunes will just continue to access the files where they are. If you don't do it this way, you will be at the mercy of iTunes when you want to do anything with those files, especially if you ever lose your ipod or your computer hard drive goes out.

I know you can convert your iPod to disk mode. Perhaps you can do the same thing with your mp3 player. Then, you can mount it as an external hard drive and transfer it to your computer. Good Luck!

If it's anything like the ipod, it's intentionally designed to make it very difficult to transfer music OFF the mobile device - this is supposed to make it harder for people to pirate music.
There are several non-Apple utlities that will copy stuff off an ipod back to a mac or pc, but a quick google search didn't turn up anything that does the same thing for the zen.
But as a previous poster said, if you have been keeping it in sync with your PC, then all the audio files should be on the PC (somewhere). Only problem is if they have DRM protection then they aren't going to play on the ipod anyway. If they are songs you ripped from your own cds and they are in mp3 format then they should work if you just drag and drop them in itunes (disclaimer - I only use itunes on the mac, so I don't know if the windows version works exactly the same).
It sucks that Apple, Microsoft, and all the rest of the portable player manufacturers can't agree on standards and inter-operablity, but it's all about locking you into one company's product - that's all any of them care about.

If your computer is a Mac, get a program called "XNJB." You can then transfer the stuff off of the Creative device, onto your computer, and then on to your iPod.

I accidentally deleted all my music files on my computer and did not want to lose all my music. Here is what I did. I know this is an Ipod, but I can only imagine that the Zen works in similar ways. I went into disc mode. Then it is mandatory to turn on hidden files. These companies hide the file so you can't find it when you look for it. I then copied everything from my ipod on to my desktop. It created hundreds of song files that had no names or whatever. But, then I hooked my ipod back up to my computer and everything was there. Pretty cool. I found a link that guided me through the process. Here it is. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061127122956AAjtpPw.

I use creative's software for my Nomad JukeBox. If you have just ripped your CD's into MP's, you can move the songs(files) into ITune. Look on your HD. It should save the files under my music if you didn't change the settings. I rip my own MP's and move them between a couple of players and computers. If you bought the MP3
off a pay site, you may be able to move them to the new player.
