Anybody ever try these lights? I've never heard of Sachtler making lights. Are they good quality?

I know some guys that used to use them as on-camera lights. They seemed OK... I think they were 30V models, though.

I used to have a Sachtler on-camera light. I loved it. Much nicer than my UL2. I think they stopped making it though. It was 12v and had a power tap connector.

I'm not finding any Sachtler "on-camera" lights? Links?

Yes, I am unable to search for things on my own ... really, I guess I missed it on the Sachtler website. Thanks.

I don't know if you're referring to Sacthler toplights or larger stand lights. We have "Sachtler Reporter 651H" lights in our live trucks to light our reporters. They are about as durable as they come - believe me, ours have been around the block. We leave them on the light stands at all times, and just break them out of the back of the trucks, open up the legs and boom, they're set up. We also have a few "Reporter 100H" battery[anton bauer]-powered lights spread out amongst the staff; they are equally durable. The only thing you have to be careful of with those is making sure you don't use a fully-charged battery, b/c the bulb will blow out. Hope that helps...
