using test charts

I was curious if any of you use Macbeth or DSC types of charts for your productions. If so, how do you use them? Are the for just getting the camera set up or do you also use them in your post workflow? Are they good for single camera as well and multi camera shoots? How do you use a grey scale chart?
I haven't had a chance to use one, but they seem like a useful tool. If you know of any good reference material I should look at, I'd appreciate you passing along a link.

DSC is what you are looking for...some of them might be too advanced for what you would need it for. They aren't cheap either. But-they are very accurate. I have a set of their warm cards. The guy who owns it is very knowledgeable and open to shoptalk.

Good for camera setup, but also good for post production colour correct.
