How many of you subscribe to Trade Magazines?

I'm thinking of subscribing to Broadcast & Cable, but at $300/year - I may rethink that.

I currently get TV Technology which is great although somewtimes the articles seem dated, and it tends to migrate more towards the engineers in the business.

HighDef is also a great publication, however I wish they would get more indepth articles on gear and acquisition than articles about television shows.

Any other trade publications worth filling up my mailbox with?

You should be able to qualify for a free subscription to most trade magazines. After all, we are the people the advertisers want to reach.

Look for free subscription cards on-line at magazine sites. You should qualify for Videography, Millimeter, Post, Digital Content Producer, and DV. Maybe others.

I get a ton of magazines free. So many in fact I hardly have time to read them. Television Broadcast, Videography, Pro Sound...the list goes on.

I get all those, they end up in the trash once I scan the cover and see what articles may be of interest. I think their target is the pro-sumer market. I find them somewhat useless.

I get so many for free there's no way I'd pay for one...thought broadcasting and cable is pretty decent.

I like Broadcast Engineering, TVBroadcast, Television Week the best I think. Videography is okay sometimes, but on the whole is too pro-sumer for me to care.
