Hello guys !
I need you help on this topic. Being new to the XDCAM ( as you guys already know ) I am kindly asking for your valuable assistance concerning an upcoming project.

Problem : I shoot Sony XDCAM hi-def (pal) and edit Final Cut Pro hi-def (PAL) , but my client in Bermuda wants me to output to his DVCAM deck and DVCPRO equiptment after our corporate shoot has been completed.

Question : How do I transfer the video / audio to his equiptment (NTSC) from my XDCAM (pal) equiptment . . either from my XDCAM camera or from FINAL CUT PRO ?

Thanks a million guys ! !

If you were outputting PAL to PAL or NTSC to NTSC, it would be easy. Since you are using FCP, may I suggest the Nattress standards conversion filters. That will give you an NTSC sequence that you can output to the client's DVCAM equipment.

You could also place the iLink port of your XDCAM HD in AV/C mode and the camera will downcovert your HD material to DVCAM via firewire (iLink). That would save you the time of downconverting within FCP. Then you'd just use the standards conversion filter to make it NTSC.
