Hello,
Does anyone know if you can send away a lectrosonics 185 and have the freq changed? believe it or not I bought two with the same freq but I really like the second one (the one I just bought and can return). and would like to send othe first one I have. and additionally does anyone know approximately how much it would cost if possible.
Thank you in advance,
Lcp

You probably can but it is not cheap and takes a while to turn around.

I think I remember hearing one time it was around 300 bucks... but that was several years ago. Look on their website for a phone number and give them a ring. Pretty direct way to find out.

I have a 187 that I had switched from 169.505 to 174.500 about 5 yrs ago for around 200. the 174 was as high as I could go without changing the the RF block (I think). turn around wasnt very long, maybe a week.

Thanks for the info. I think it just might be easier to sell one of them and pick up one with a different freq.
Thank you,

I contacted Karl Winkler of Lectrosonics, and he forwarded the response from there Head of Sales. I hope this helps...

Yes the 185 systems can have the frequency changed. The cost is $140 + parts (usually just crystals, price dependent on whether we have to special order) + shipping. If the frequency is change is "out of band" add 1 hr excess labor ($65) per piece.
