Hey all,

Wondering what folks here know about working in Tokyo's Bloomberg TV office. I'm interviewing for an AVID editor job there, but have no idea what the company is like (other than what I've seen on TV).

Any horror stories or positive things you've heard??
How is the company viewed on the whole?

Anything you've heard would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey Fotoografa,

This is maybe 8 years ago, I saw a vacancy in the Yomiuri Shimbun (Japanese Daily Newspaper) for a Camera Operator that I was interested in Applying for.
After further info it was not exactly what I was looking for (I was leaving Japan a few weeks later anyway) ie. a lot of stuff was studio based, required pretty good Japanese Language skills, Interviews with Japanese Company executives, as well as an interest in the Stock markets etc.
On the whole it sounded pretty much ok, the company seemed respectable to work for.
Sorry it's not much help, Maybe call them direct? Good luck anyway. :)

Keep this in mind, Tokyo and Japan in general is a VERY expensive place to live.

What part of Tokyo is the job being offered? I've been here for six years and must say it's a nice place to live. At first the language barrier was a real doozy...and the food took some time getting used to.

If you end up taking the job send me an email.
