Has anyone ever used any of these HMIs ?

I've heard from other message boards that they are not bad, but the temp a little lower than 5600, more around 5200. Also, if you look, the things have no controls built into them except sketchy barndoors.

But for the price, it's kinda "who cares?". I've been meaning to pick some up for the hell of it.

I was looking around the site a little more and saw a $300 stedicam. It looks kinda janky though, anybody else have an opinion?

But, at least you can get in the door if you are low budget. There is, somewhere, a thread on the Freelance forum about these lights.

A thread about these, or very similar lights, was started a couple of months ago. They aren't true HMI's and they don't have the ability to "hot re-strike", it's something ridiculously long like 10 mins. before they can be turned on after being shut-off.
