Nat: and here we see the primitive american male photographer, protecting his newborn younglings, with his life. By showing his enemies and predators a fierce facial expression of agression, he may scare off those jealous of his newfound joy"

btw, Were the green antennae at the back of your head there before the XD?

Wow it's like porno for photogs! "Check out the lens on that baby!"

So, how's it shoot? How are the pictures? Do you like working with it? Pros & cons?..

Hrmm. No glasses in the avatar, glasses in camera picture. They're never in the same places at the same time... :D

Couldnt help but smile when I saw this! I think every cameraman has a similar picture of themselves when they got a new camera! I have an older one where there is a big smile on my face as I pull a new 600 out of the box!

First I’m a New Zealand male, the green “antenna” is my wife’s handbag (not an All Blacks, OZ cameramen may laugh.)

The photo was on timer hence the bad framing… damn this OMB stuff

And in case there was any doubt yes I was hamming it up.

Can I just say it is very cool buying a used camera and not having to worry about head wear?

Will let you know how it works out.

It’s got a V lock plate on the back and we run IDX endura 80’s.
The lens is our Fujinon A10x4.8BEVM-G28… mmmm superwide.
We just bought the camera body and a player recorder for basically the price of a new player recorder.
The only thing we are worried about is the viewfinder is a bit soft and seems to bow a bit but guys selling have promised to have that sorted.

I had a job yesterday I could have used it on but we have to wait to get the insurance and stuff like that sorted, plus I want to be properly up to speed with it.
What was funny was there was an out of town crew at the event, I was shooting SP and they were supposed to give us their tapes to dub for that evening show.
The reporter went and got them. I caught a glimpse of green in the top of her handbag and had a sinking feeling. On a closer look, yep IMX. Never actually seen it before and nobody else had even heard of it. Spent the next 3 hours trying failing to get a player. Finally got the cameraman’s number and got him to send the camera in so we could dub off that.
The on air story had stuff shot on IMX, SP from the field, SX file footage, XD promotional footage and they are a P2 station.

I thought we had a chance too.
Numerous pints of Kilkenny and all was forgotten.
Roll on the 29th of July.
