I've never been a big specs guy. Whatever the market is using is where I usually go, so I don't do a lot of digging around for specs. But I have a new client that I'm going to need to discuss specs with. So I'd better know something about specs!

So I'm looking for an explaination of 4:2:2 vs 4:2:0.
Details on the differences in compression between HDCAM, DVCProHD, HDV & XD HD.
And the big mystery...the difference between 720P & 1080i in regards to actual resolution. I do know the difference between progressive & interlaced.

Any good on-line resource guides for all this mush?
