New Grass Valley Camera

Feelings on the new camera? I'm a little wary, but optimistic... If you are not familiar, Thompson Grass Valley just announced the product last week. First models rolling into the market early next year. Camera is tapeless, format is recordable in several formats including MPeg2000 (I'm not really sure what that means...) It's also supposed to be H-D right now.

Again, looks are promising and Grass Valley has a great reputation, but I'm more than a little wary about a brand new camera....

Just checked out their website and it looks interesting to me. We're looking at new format change and checking out different systems. P2 looks promising.
BTW, I believe it is Jpeg2000. Apparently a movie feature for digital film.

We have Grass Valley Newsedit. I hope the cameras are better than their editing hardware.

What kind of problems are you having with the NewsEdit?

We've had pretty good luck.
