Cops Pop Robbery Suspect-Caught on Tape

We had what seems to be a nut with a gun go into the Mexican Consulate Offices just west of downtown this morning and try to take some poor woman hostage... The cops were on him QUICK and followed him up the street as he walked with the poor woman - holding a gun on her all the while... One of our trusty cameramen from Telemundo (NBC owned) was at or near the consulate doing a piece and picked up the chase ... see his footage HERE! He did a great job...the suspect took one in the head and the woman escaped unharmed...There was also aerial footage courtesy of KCBS/KCAL but the ground stuff takes the cake...

exactly...not graphic-intensive-as they approach the second tree, you can see the suspect look ahead of himself...and then as he looks back just before he goes behind the tree, his head snaps back and that's it... High stakes situation for everyone - I'm not into perpetuating the ogrish-type stuff but this whole sequence was pretty extraordinary...
