After watching a weeks worth of documentaries about 9/11, including "IN MEMORIAM: NEW YORK CITY, 9/11/01" on HBO, allow me to say how proud I am of the photographers who covered that event 2 years ago. The imagery was incredible, and the actions of the photographers were nothing short of courageous.
Marty Glembotzky and Joseph McCarthy both shared their images with us in the past, while speaking about what it took to cover that amazing day.
Personally, that day was a blur to me as I raced to DC to cover the Pentagon. Most of my initial imagery came from NPR radio. Now 2 years later, I can actually sit back and absorb the visuals of September 11th.
To all the New York and DC photographers, thanks for your incredible work. Lets hope an event of that nature never happens again on American soil...
