cues

so, what are the nationally recognized cues for "1 minute" "2 minutes" "30 seconds" etc., because I heard a fellow photog and our waddle-necked sports anchor ridiculing the way in which I cued her last night, holding up the number of fingers per number.
For thirty seconds, I didn't really know what to do, so I held up three fingers and a circle with my other hand.
Apparently, this is worth mocking.
Any cues you guys know so I can nip this petty jackass-ness in the bud?

For 30 seconds you hold your hand up and make a "c" if it is your right hand it will be a backwards "c" and for 15 seconds you hold up a closed fist, but not like you are shaking your fist at the talent (althought that is sometimes warrented) but you hold you fist up with the pinkie side of your hand facing the talent. Hope this helps clear things up a little.

photogtony has what I have always known about time signals. If they keep giving you crap, giv them the one minure with your hand backwards and one digit over.

i usually just throw something at them. and if they miss it oh well, they have an ifb in also.
