What do you guys do when you are stuck in a slump? When it just seems like you lost your touch, and you can't turn a piece you are proud of. Seems like the last week I can't seem to turn something that "wowed" me. Working in tv, you tend to be your own worst critic. Any suggestions to get back to your A-game?

I just try to forget about the crappy work I did and think about how I'm going to do the next time. Of course, the best way I do that is to knock a few back at the old watering hole!

You need to go to a bar...and hook-up with a "slump-buster."
Ask ex-Chicago Cub/Arizona Diamondback Mark Grace what a slumpbuster is...or maybe a Jim Rome "Clone" can fill you in!!!

Sometimes, just focus on the basics again. Don't force the video. After awhile, things will start flowing again.

slump buster will definitely do the trip...that is if you survive. the busters tend to be quite big.

Have you considered suicide? Sounds like your only option at this point.

M.D., I don't think that was the slightest bit funny. One day, you're going to say that to the wrong person.

If you actually have a day off, grab your camera and just drive around and shoot.
From sunrise to sunset, just shoot. Don't even bother to set up shots, see the image with your eyes and your lens will find it.
create some art, that you will be proud of, something you do just for you just for the hell of it, not something you have to do.
Get creative, get the shots you can't get any other day.
Or you can just toss a few back pass out get up a few days later and get back to the grind.

I ended up watching the best of NPPA stuff and it got me back up and running. Thanks for all the input.
