Damn it! Just about the time you think you have all the cool toys, something like this comes along...

I've been using one of those for the past 8 years. Where have you been, acting like this is all new and schitt?
tarzan - where did you get yours - the site says 'coming this summer'
yes...we've all been using leatherman products for a LONG time...this is a new addition to the product line.

yes...we've all been using leatherman products for a LONG time...this is a new addition to the product line. I got mine in the camping supplies section of Target. It's an older version, but looking at that new one, it looks like it's pretty much got the same stuff. Sorry, didn't mean to be a dick. I thought you were all getting excited about Leatherman's in general, as if you'd never seen one before.

I have a Super Tool that has most of the same tools, but this new one still looks nicer and still has a few features my ST doesn't have. You can do a side-by-side comparison on their site.
And even if this were old news, Tim Leatherman would still be my hero.

I couldn't get the page to work at first. I think the porn-blockers detected the "Tool Finder" and "Tool Comparison" buttons :D
Seriously, the Zytel in the handle seems nice, and I'd hope it would be lighter. I suppose they're like Jeeps: Some people like the new plastic ones, and others prefer the old WWII steel ones.
Regardless, I'd hate to lose one of those to the TSA auction site!!

It's just like my WAVE, except more expensive(but cooler to look at :( ).

The interchangeable bits are ingenious...mine doesn't have a screwdriver small enough for lens screws.

Where's the cell phone? It has everything but the most important tool.
