PD150 nomore playback

I have a PD150 which I have used as my primary playback machine over the last 2 years.

It records fine is works great everything except the playback when it plays back the picture goes terribly digital has this happened to anyone and have you been able to fix it.
Some people tell me I need to replace the PB heads that cost has come out to about $600 I cannot afford that.
I have already run it threw cleaner taps and tried cleaning the heads.

You think new heads for a PD 150 are expensive, try $3,500 for new heads on a D600 Beta SP! That's more than a new PD150.

I thought the whole idea behind a PD150 was that you don't fix it when it breaks, you just throw it away and buy another one.
