Any FCP-HD users know how to do the transistion effect getting the last second or so of video to "roll" like the horizontal hold is out of wack? I'm not sure that is the best way to describe it.

Thanks.

Not sure what you mean exactly, but you will probably have to key frame it.

I wish I could give you a better example of what I'm talking about.

They used the effect a lot on the Project Greenlight series on Bravo.

There should be a number of plugins for effects. Search the web. I dont know for sure if this effect comes with FCP.

I have a number of plugins that I got from the web.

There are a ton more. From what I have heard, wish I had time to try, you can make your own effects in After effects and add them into FCPHD.

Thanks for the links.

I was hoping to find something of the free variety though. :)

I'm pretty sure I could do this "effect" through just duplicating the video layer a few times stacking them up, and just keyframing the position of them to look like the top one was "rolling" up. You'd have to make a light grey bar to go between the video layers to simulate the bar that rolls as well.....just create a grey color matte, and crop it. This wouldn't be very hard to do at all, just time consuming.

Anyone know if there is a plug in to get the film-strip-running-out look?
