Grey Marketing Group?
Got a reply toa resume posting I did...sent me to their webpage for an application fill-out. Now I can't find ANY mentioning of them under the search engines I've used. The webpage kept asking for me to fill out a questionare to be filled out so that another group can call me about online education courses. Seems like a lot to go through just for an ad...and then just getting my hopes up about getting a job...too much drama.

My sister just got one of these. If you look at their site, it seems pretty suspicious. They have a website that anybody who knows what they're doing can set up in an hour, yet they claim to have been in business since 1987 and now do nearly half their business on the interent. They have a very prestigious NY address in a GIANT office building, yet do not list a suite number in their address. Must really suck to never get your mail.
Also, interesting to note that if you google "Grey Marketing" you'll find that term is used for some questionable marketing practices. I think that if I was a marketing group who was successful to have the office space they CLAIM to have, I wouldn't be named after questionalbe marketing practices.
I suggested to my sister that she blow them off. I'll let her know what you found out, so she'll feel a little better about it.

Thanks for the info. I actually can't find ANYTHING AT ALL on the web about them. I sent them an email (I was bored) regarding my suspicions...maybe they will actually reply (yeah...right!).
I'm not sure who would you report a scheme like this too? It's not realy a scam, I think.

You are more likely to end up with your ID being used by someone else than getting a job I would guess.

I actually got a reply e-mail from them. They say they are in the process of lining up interviews, and should expect a call...I don't think I will hold my breathe.
I did go out and beat down doors yesterday. Ended up with the best response from the unemployment agency. I got to say, most of the people I interviewed with seemed EXTREMLY unprofessional. Cussing during the interview, talking bad about their staff. Most of this was done at the employment agencies, and not at the individual businesses.
They just kept saying that they knew there was an opening for a news photographer at a station in Birmingham...Of course I had to keep saying that I'm staying out of tv news for a while...unless it was the occasional freelance gig, of course.
Sorry for the rambling. My 9 month old is a good listener, but not yet up to speed on how to carry a decent conversation.
