2. ??? Some people still have G1 iPods going strong, and that's about 5 years.

My iPod is probably the best $300 I've ever spent. Especially w/ the iTrip FM transmitter. I can listen to it everywhere now.

I just tested the battery on my new 40 gig and got nearly 10 1/2 hours out of it. Some of the older ones will also use a couple of AA batteries. Mine doesn't.
